Jonah Whitney

From the time Jonah called Paul as a high school freshman to ask for a job as a summer helper, to joining the company full time after graduation, earning his journeyman license, and becoming a project lead, he's shown up as a self-starter, driven to do good work.

Jonah grew up working with his hands. He helped his dad fix broken vehicles and renovate their historic home, worked in the shop, and repaired appliances. The first thing that drew him to the trade, even before the electrical work itself, was the experience of helping people fix problems in their homes that had been causing them stress.

For the last decade, Jonah has passed along his experience to younger guys through his work with The Foundry in Vicksburg, a nonprofit mentoring organization equipping young men with life skills. Over the years he's done everything from set up to clean up, supported instructors, and helped renovate the facilities.

His favorite ways to spend time are, unsurprisingly, with people: hanging with friends and spending time with family. Even better if it involves getting out in the woods or on the water at Eagle Lake.

Jonah lives in Clinton.
